Final documentary

week 6 production log

sunday 13th july 2014

This week i had to make sure that every single bit of my documentary was up to date and done at a good standard, i came in and stayed at school until my documentary was looking strong and on thursday i came in for the whole day to finish of my docummnetary. i had Mrs Greenfield and Mr Mallen look at my work to see if there were any mistakes and both of them said it was good so i am confident in my documentary a this moment in time. I came across 1 technical problem and that was when i moved most of my footage to add in a small bit, i ended up jumbling my sound around so it didn't match or be in sync so i had to re work it so it wasn't different to the footage. it took time but i got it bak and it was fine again, i fully finished editing on thursday and i was the first to get it done. All i have to do now is to sign my name to say it was my work and then i am done.

Sunday 6th July 2014

This week was all about me editing all of my filmed footage and start making a documentary with what I have got, I filmed over 2 hours of footage within one day so I was very impressed by that because it gave me a secure documentary image straight away. I just had to make sure that everything else I filmed worked and so far it has but I still have a lot to do but it's not challenging unless I chose it to be. The technical challenges that I came across this week were that my footage flowed so there were no hiccups or obvious jumps throughout the footage, it takes time to make it work but when it does I am happy. Over the next week I need to make sure I have music throughout my documentary and I need to make sure that I get all my editing done to a high standard. So far my documentary is coming together well.

Sunday 29th June 2014

This week I focused on getting all my little bits of filming done so I didn't have to carry on filming through the excessive weeks, it was all simple filming of me talking to the camera in the park and also other little simple bits which weren't hard to film. I had no problems filming any of the footage so I didn't take long getting it all done. The technical challenges that I did come across though were bits like being creative because I noticed that my shots were sometimes repeated and that can become boring very quickly so I had to pick different angels. Over the next week I need to edit all of my footage together and actually having visuals of my documentary being done.

Sunday 22nd June 2014

This week i had to carry on with filming different parts fro my documentary, i had to make sure that i was near to completion with all my filming so i have less to do and more editing in the next week. I had no logistical problems again for this week, so everything went smooth. The technical challenges that i came across when filming was none because it was easy filming to do and i knew how to get it done quickly. Over this next week i hope to get some few bits of filming done and i also hope to start editing all of the work together so i can get it done and be able to put in more improvements.

Sunday 15th june 2014

This week i got some more filming done for my documentary, i got some more interviews done and filmed so at this moment in time i have over 1 hour and 30 minutes of footage already filmed and i still have a bit to do. The logistical challenges that i faced during this week was nothing, i didnt have a problem through this week so every thing was simple and calm. The technical challenges that i faced where to be able to set everything up and make sure i am filming shots to a good standard. Over the next week i am aiming to go to croydon to film footage of my step dad because he is a father living away from his child and i am also hoping to interview my brother as a child living away from our mum. I will also need to film footage of me talking about certain things at certain parts in my documentary. By next week i want to have all of my footage filmed and done so i can edit and finish my documentary.
